Supply & Planning Specialist

Blainville, Quebec | Permanent | Full-Time

Our client, a growing Quebec-based company that develops and distributes specialized products throughout Canada and the United States, is looking to add a Supply & Planning Specialist to its team.

Based in Blainville, this opportunity is ideal for an analytical, organized and curious professional who enjoys working with data, anticipating needs and ensuring optimal product availability.

This is not a traditional Buyer role primarily focused on sourcing and negotiating with new suppliers. The position is much more centered around demand planning, replenishment, trend analysis and effective inventory management within an established international supplier network.

Your Role

Reporting to the Director of Operations and working closely with various members of the organization, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the supply of products primarily sourced from international suppliers.

Your objective will be simple: ensure the right products are available in the right place at the right time, while maintaining healthy inventory levels.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and coordinating product replenishment with international suppliers;
  • Analyzing sales data, trends and forecasts to anticipate future requirements;
  • Reviewing and optimizing supply parameters, including lead times, safety stock and reorder points;
  • Coordinating the supply cycle from demand forecasting through to receipt of goods;
  • Planning inventory transfers between different warehouses;
  • Monitoring supplier performance and addressing issues as required;
  • Managing customs documentation related to imports and exports and contributing to regulatory compliance;
  • Participating in supplier discussions and negotiations when required;
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of supply and planning processes.

The Profile We’re Looking For

Above all, we are looking for someone with a solid understanding of the supply chain and strong analytical abilities.

You may already have a few years of experience in supply planning, procurement, purchasing or inventory management without necessarily having held this exact title.

You will stand out through:

  • Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data;
  • Very good knowledge of Excel, including PivotTables and lookup functions;
  • A good understanding of procurement and inventory management principles;
  • Knowledge of import/export processes and customs, considered a strong asset;
  • Experience working with an ERP system; knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is an asset;
  • Excellent communication skills in English and French, as you will regularly interact with suppliers in Asia and Europe;
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, autonomy and the ability to manage priorities;
  • A positive, dynamic and collaborative personality, with a genuine desire to learn and grow.

A college diploma in supply management or a relevant combination of education and experience will be considered.

What’s Offered

  • Permanent, 37.5-hour-per-week position;
  • On-site position in Blainville, Quebec;
  • Group insurance with employer contribution;
  • DPSP with a 3% employer contribution;
  • Wellness program;
  • Modern work environment;
  • On-site gym and common area;
  • Social activities;
  • A dynamic and collaborative team within a growing Quebec company.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to have a tangible impact on operations, further develop their expertise in planning and international supply, and grow within an organization that values initiative, collaboration and continuous improvement.

If you enjoy analyzing, anticipating and finding the right balance between product availability and effective inventory management, we’d love to meet you.
