We are seeking a professional who combines legal expertise, an understanding of the construction sector, and management experience to lead a key service related to the professional qualification of contractors.

Main Responsibilities

• Manage the department’s human, financial, and material resources.
• Contribute to strategic planning and oversee the implementation of key projects.
• Supervise the processing and compliance of files related to the issuance and monitoring of professional licenses.
• Develop and implement procedures, directives, and investigative methods.
• Make informed decisions regarding qualification and admission.
• Collaborate with external partners and represent the organization before regulatory authorities.
• Draft reports, briefs, and memorandums, and contribute to internal publications.

Desired Profile

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in law or other relevant training.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in law (ideally in the construction sector or professional associations) and 5 years in management.

Skills:

• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Strong judgment, rigor, and decision-making skills.
• Political acumen and change management abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.
• Good knowledge of the construction regulatory framework (an asset).
• Bilingualism in French and English required (written and spoken).
